We stayed in Lyon at this hotel for 3 nights while we were there. Although the rooms are great, clean and has all the facilities you will expect from a studio apartment, the reception staff are not that friendly.
My husband when down to reception one morning asking where he could do some washing and for his surprise the reception staff couldn't understand a word in English and was very rude about the fact my husband couldn't speak French.
The month we spent in France we try to use the most of our French but if u work in a hotel their is no point of getting angry with ur guests if they can't speak the language.
So if u want great, clean rooms, close to the Gare, this is the place to stay... But if u don't speak French hopefully u don't need to ask for anything at reception.

3 double beds in a clean and comfortable room for 80 euro 5 minutes from the railway station with friendly staff, what more can you ask ?

Located not far from Lyon Part Dieu train station. Relatively large room, the floor was clean although the wall-to-wall carpet, good bed, kitchenette in the room, free WLAN access (if you wish also to send emails you have to buy an access with higher speed). Breakfast wasn't very copious but sufficient (good coffee!).

We had one night in Lyon and this seemed like a good compromise as we had an early flight. Thought this hotel was a bit closer to the Rhone Express but when dragging 4 bags and 2 medium sized children it was a bit of a hike, so be prepared.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The room was basic and a little but tired but perfectly fine and very clean. There was a little kitchen but no where to sit and eat (except a desk) which was a bit strange but not an issue for us as we only slept there. Kitchenette seemed well stocked, there were plenty of towels.
We took a taxi to the city centre which was about 10 euro. There is not much in the way of nice restaurants around the hotel.
