Unprepossessing front/entrance, warm reception, very reasonable room pricing for the location. If you want a lot of space to move around in, this is not for you. But air-conditioned, clean rooms, comfortable beds, soundproof rooms with working wifi in a pint-size space worked for me and my friend. Walking distance to most points in Lyon + proximity to Perrache station complete the package.

We stayed in a 4 bed room which was tight, but tidy. Very cheap for Lyon and decent location. Average breakfast of cold meats and cheese. Free off street parking was useful. Good value overall - less than a hostel when split between 4 people.

This hotel is a great location near the center of Lyon, which was very convenient for not having to take taxis. The staff was very helpful upon checkin and checkout. They had us a taxi to the train station very quickly.
As for the room, I'll just say you get what you pay for. Our room had a terrible smell, and looked like an old hospital room with the flourescent light above the bed. We didn't open any of our luggage so that our clothes would not smell. There was no shower curtain, so a bath is the only option of hygene maintenance. One night is about all we could stand here, but it's not like we expected much. For one night in Lyon and not spending much, it's perfect.
The wireless internet worked perfectly and we were able to use it in our room. A lot of places in Europe require you to go to a common area in the hotel for wireless internet access; this hotel did not.

A nice hotel - clean, cheap, friendly staff, good location, convenient grocery store and laundromat nearby. Good breakfast for 5 euros. A little noisy at night being near the train station, but if you tire yourself out during the day seeing the sights of Lyon, it doesn't really matter. :)
