This is a very central hotel, and therefore have a amount of business travellers going through. My first impression was that the high turnover of patrons is having a effect on the overall appearance of looking somewhat rundown in corridors and carpeting.
None the less my room was tidy but with no barfridge?! You could purchase things downstairs at reception.
The bathroom was standard fair but my toilet seat was loose.
The breakfast is more than adequate but quite a rush with all the business folk around, not a place for a quiet easy breakfast!
There weren't that many restaurants in close proximity but the restaurant at the hotel is apparently good, according to some locals. I did not dinner there.
Will probably not return out of my own free will

Just stayed here for 4 nights and it was not bad at all. The restaurant had a decent menu (try the duck!). Staff was friendly though not the most fluent in English, though I spoke French so it didn't matter. The rooms were average in quality but a nice size and clean with a shower -- and the king sized bed was an actual king sized bed (i.e. not the two smaller beds pushed together like you often find in Europe.) The location was not great for my particular trip and I only got booked here because the whole town was booked up apparently for an exposition -- so book early for Lyon I guess. The lady at the bar was very cool and tried to speak english with us -- luckily I spoke enough french to keep the conversation alive.

Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast (not included in price) with nice staff. Rooms are average. Non-smoking rooms available on non-smoking floors. Room service is average. Location convenient close to Metro and local shops. Worth the money.
