I was in Lyon on business and stayed at the Mecure 3 nights, had a deluxe room on the 4th floor, room 401. The room was big for France and had a king bed and was very clean, just a little noisy because ner (actually) adjacent o the train station. Average around 150 used per night! Easy walking distance to shopping nd old town of Lyon.

Perfectly located next to the train station, the Grand Perrache has been renovated nicely, huge rooms, large bathrooms, and a friendly staff. It was perfect for an overnight stay and priced right.

For the first impression the surroudings of the hotel looked very unpleasant, however later we found advantages as for example old french Brasserie Georges nearby hotel with a great atmosphere and food. The hotel room was spacious and surprisingly quiet, although the double windows faced the heavy traffic street. From our balcony there was a partial view to the historical Lyon city. Most of the inside hotel decor is charming and especially ellegant are the restaurant's wood carving walls, high ceilings and stained glass windows. Breakfast is not included in the room price, but the choice is good enough. The front desk is located on the first floor. The parking is available next to the entrance or garage. Overal - charming atmosphere and an authentic french historical chateau hotel for a moderate price.
