This hotel is in the histroic rue du Boeuf (where the superb Cours de Loges is situated), so it has a great location. La Tour Rose is a bit like a poor man's Cours de Loges (and to be honest we picked it because it was cheaper. I don't think it was value-for-money though - should have stayed again at the Cours de Loges!).
It seemed rather dusty and not well kept. The people on the desk were friendly but there seemed to be hardly anyone staying there. At all costs avoid breakfast. 18 euros per person is a rip off for what you get: the room where the 'buffet' was laid out had no-one else in it but two couples had eaten breakfast because all their detritus was on the tables. No-one was there to clear up. We had been told coffee was on the table - it was, in a half full flask on one of the abandoned tables. There was some cereal in plastic containers and one clean bowl. Some plain yoghurt and a couple of bits of overripe fruit. There were six slices of plastic ham and curled up cheese that you might buy for a kid's hamburger. A few rolls and a couple of tired croissants. A little bit of processed orange juice sitting warmly in its jug. BE CAREFUL - the first thing they ask when you arrive is if you want breakfast and you are marked down for it.
