We stayed here for 3 nights as a base for a driving holiday in the alps. The hotel was relatively cheap, in the middle of no where, but you get exactly what you pay for.
The staff were very friendly and the only people we met who spoke any english, which was nice as my french is rusty at best. We had a non smoking room but it has obviously been a smoking room for a long time as it smelt of a combination of stale smoke and very bad air freshener! The room was really quite small but comfortable and clean. The bathroom was tiny, and also very much within the room, (so privacy is limited!!) and it was clean enough. There was a small kitchenette which was unexpected but came in handy to keep drinks and snacks in. The hotel has no room service but they do offer microwave meals/ snacks at reception that can be cooked in the kitchenette if you do not want to go into the city.
There are many 'little extras' such as an ironing board & iron in the room and a safe. The hotel offers underground secure parking at an extra fee of 7.50e per night (handy as we had a hire car and weren't sure on how safe the surrounding area would be overnight). Breakfast is available for 10e per person but its nothing special, its convenient if you have limited time but I felt un -welcome whilst eating there; we were the only ones in there and the waitress spent the whole time peering around the kitchen door to see if we'd finished eating!
The location was OK for us as it was on the outskirts of the city, perfect for heading out onto the surrounding mountains. It was a good 15-20 minutes into the city by car depending on traffic. We didn't try to walk but I'm guessing it would take at least 45 minutes. We didn't attempt to use public transport but there were no obvious tram/ bus stops that I saw nearby.
Overall, it served its purpose. It was an OK hotel, good for a base to travel from and exactly what you would expect for the price we paid.
