Family of 4 stayed here for Tour De France for 4 nights. Great value, used kitchenette for every meal. Great center city location, staff was helpful and free internet access. Hotel was also next to a large park, great for a morning run. Grocery across the street. only con was a moldy shower curtain.

Stayed with my wife and to children for 3 nights. Great location and service. No problems with staff. Great value for the money.

This hotel is located at the center of the City Grenoble. One can get all the transport, shopping facilities within short reach. The Tram, Bus stop Chavant is just opposite and the Rail station Gare is 10 min walk. The tourist office is nearby and two shopping stores viz. the Spar and Marche Plus is just on the other side of the road. The hotel staff and the other boarders were also very nice, as for my experience is concerned. I'd certainly love to stay there again if I happen to travel to Grenoble. Viva Grenoble!

The Citadines is a no frill pay by the night residence. Note that I didn't say hotel and that's because when I checked in, the woman at the front desk made that clear to me. they are a residence, not a hotel.

In other words: pay for your stay in advance, no hotel like amenities such as help finding a restaurant or clean linens included in the price of the stay. Want clean towels? That'll be 8 euros and isn't offered daily, although laundry facilities are so one could clean one's linens oneself.

The good part is that the suite was clean (think 80s decor) and had a little kitchen area with a fridge and stove. On-site parking is also available as is breakfast in a little cafeteria.

Note that the Citadines does not have air conditioning. They offer an "air cooling system" which is otherwise normally called by the rest of the world: "a fan." Seriously, they told us they had an air cooling system. No joke. Remember that in the summer, Grenoble can become one of the hottest cities in France...
