Upon arrival we were told by the woman on reception that the garage parking space that we had pre-booked was unavailable because someone had walked off with the key. We were also not given the balcony that is described in the specification on booking.com for a superior lake view rooms. A poor welcome indeed. When we threatened to cancel the whole booking amazingly the manager admitted that he had told the receptionist to lie about the parking and produced a key out of thin air. We stayed for one night, the threats to charge us for all five we had booked were the last straw.
Worst experience in a hotel anywhere in France.

In my 15 years of coming to Evian this is the first time I have stayed in Le Bourgogne. Overall I was disappointed. The rooms are spacious and clean but very dated and the hand-held shower in the bath is very irritating.
For a similar price I would recommend the Littoral, Alize or Savoy Hotels. All are far better than the Bourgogne and much better value.
The Palais and Continental just as nice (if not nicer) than the Bourgogne but much cheaper.

I stayed in this hotel for one night.
Arriving at the hotel, the reception is a strange place. It was clean but empty. Like they were rebuilding or just moved in, allthough they were not. So my first impression wasn't that good. The staff speaks English just a bit.
But after getting in my hotelroom that changed a bit. The rooms are big, clean but could use an update (furniture from the 1980's). The bathroom is clean, big but again it could use an update. In the bathroom you can take a shower in the bathtub, but you have to hold the showerhose in your hand! There is no hook to click on! Something I do not like.
The view from the hotelroom is nice (at a fountain witch stops at 22.00 h).

The hotel has a small breakfast buffet, witch to my opinion was less than average. The restaurant on the otherhand was very good! Allthough having diner in Evian could go in a nicer athmosphere if you like to be in a more cozy (and cheaper) restaurant.
There is an elevator in the hotel. On the 3rd floor there is a sauna/fitness. On the flyer it looked very nice. I did not use it so I'm not sure if it still looks that nice.
The hotel is located in the middle of the centre of Evian. Just 1 min walk from the Geneva Lake. You can park your car at a private parking place.
The hotel is just a 3 minute walk from the nearest hospital of Evian.
From Lausanne it was a 45 minute drive getting to the hotel.
