Excellent value. Clean and comfortable. Picturesque location. Excellent facilities. Nice staff.

We booked this hotel for a one night stay during a trip to France and Italy. The hotel is situated near Lake Leman (Lake Geneva) on the French side. Although the hotel is advertised as a 2 star- it is very comfortable, clean and perfect for a short or long stay.

The hotel is perfectly situated- very close to the Lake. (Rooms at the front look over a very pretty square with view to the water. Evian, obviously famous for mineral water is a very clean, picturesque town, with plenty of shops, markets and cafes to visit. The lake is beautiful, and the town is safe and friendly to walk around at night.

Many restaurants are nearby from lo- to high budget. And there are plentiful cafe-bars, shops, gift shops and clothes

The Receptionist spoke excellent English (handy if you have rusty French) and the rooms were clean- comfortable, with good bathroom facilities. No drinks facilities were in the room, but you can easily step outside- and best to do so as the scenery is lovely.

There is easy access from the 3rd floor to the back of the hotel, to the free parking and to the source of the water where you can fill up as many bottles as you like!

** TIP** You cannot access the front of the hotel by car- there is a parking area and nearby public car park at the rear. Leave your car here and check in.**

Breakfast was included and was very good- usual continental breakfast, very well presented with fresh and hot pastries, tea, cerals, meats, yoghurts etc. Again staff were very friendly. Nice (small) garden at the back- and very accessible.

**TIP** Most of the shops close on a Monday!

Highly recommended, very good value for money and would visit again.

We stayed at the "Hotel de France" only one night.
The hotel is located in the middle of the Rue Nacionale, in front of the square that gets directly at the Leman Lake.
Our bedroom was small, but correctly equiped, with a window overlooking at the back garden.
Car park in the back, no extra charge. You need the map provided by the hotel to find it.
We didn't get the breakfast ( 8 euro p/person), we had breakfast at a "boulangerie" on the same street.

Booke over Expedia. Parking not on site as advertised and took me 30 mintues to find. Staff do speak English but not friendly. Internet is Free but limited access; they will ask you how many hours do you want? You could get better price in the Contenetial Hotel near by; but, no parking.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days in February, just before the Hotel closed for a week. The hotel is basic, but spotless, with super service and friendly staff. We had a large double room overlooking the garden at the back of the hotel with a huge bathroom - well equipped with hairdrier and goodies. We had a TV in the room. The bonus with this hotel is that it has its own private car park at the back (no charge), and the front entrance is right on Rue Nationale. We did not have the buffet breakfast as we prefer to go and have breakfast out at one of the local tearooms. We would certainly stay here again.
