The hotel is magnificent--the setting and the ambiance is something out of an old world resort. We were so impressed with the facility! The staff was also very professional, accomodating and welcoming. We had a very lovely weekend stay and it is so conveniently located within an hour's drive from Geneva.

The Royal was the location for a recent weekend break. The package which included a Spa treatment and Green fee was excellent value for money. The rate also included a first rate breakfast and full access to all hotel facilities.

Set in wonderful grounds with magnificent views over the South shore of Lake Geneva this hotel is ideally situated for exploring the local Evian resort. A historic finicular railway connects the hotel to the town. Back at the hotel there is a choice of top class resturants and an abundance of areas to relax and take in the views. Outdoors is a well situated swimming pool.

Everything else was perfect five star luxury except the furnishing in the room, which was outdated. Excellent service, breakfast, location, spa, views etc. Pure luxury but needs a renovation.

We have been to this hotel 3 times before and it was great. But this time September 2011 it all changed to our big disappointment. Most of the staff have a terrible attitude well even rude! The hotel is very tiered looking and really needs it's lift. We will not return.
