I have just returned from my holiday in Chamonix and stay at the residence LiAiguille. The following comments are for anyone who has already booked this accommodation or is thinking about staying there:
- check in is ONLY after 5pm and so if you are on an early morning flight be prepared there will be no where secure to leave your luggage
-Be prepared for a very long queue from about 4:45, it took us about an
hour to check in
- There are 5 buildings and a long walk to some
- towels are not provided, these you can hire at a cost of 7.50 euros per week
- the Tv also has to be hired
- A breakage and cleaning depoist of 200 euros is payable upon check in
- Rooms must be cleaned upon your departure otherwise money will taken from the deposit
- Our room had not been cleaned properly on our arrival, matresses dirty, sheets with holes in them, no kettle, no mugs (just tiny expresso mugs)
- corridors filthy
- very noisy apartments especially around 4am every morning when the clubs empty, noise also really echoes up the corridors.
- staff are very rude
To sum up this accommodation, this is more like a youth hostel as apose to three star apartments. I have definately stayed in a lot nicer youth hostels and would definatley not go back here.
- On the good side, it is cheap and has a good location but thats about it
