This is an excellent hotel by ski resort standards. The location in Chamonix Sud is about a 5-10min walk to the town centre. However there are several good bars and restaurants close by. Chamonix is not a ski in - ski out resort and you need a car or to take the ski bus to reach the ski areas anyway so the location is not an issue. Rooms were on the small side but decor and bathrooms were nice and modern and it was well sound-proofed. The best things about the hotel are the communal areas. There is a comfortable bar with open fire, outside heated pool and hot tub and sauna and steam room. It was wonderful to sit in the hot tub and look out at the mountains beyond. Breakfast was plentiful although the buffet did get a bit chaotic and things were running out after 8.30am in the morning.

We have stayed at this hotel several times already during winter season. It is located close to Aiguille du Midi cable car and approximately 5 minutes from the centre of Chamonix. Just across the street you can park your car, and there you will also find ski bus stop. The rooms were clean, but not very big (I'd say a typical French standard). The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool, which could be bigger. It gets crowded especially during the apres ski period. It also has sauna in a small building next to the swimming pool. It is usually not very hot, but after sauna you can cool down right next to it in the snow (if there's any).

I stayed at this hotel for business for 3 nights. It is a Best Western hotel, but you wouldn't think so if you walked in. I think it overclasses a regular best Western hotel. The netrance is warm and cozy due to the fireplace which is located in the bar. The staff is very nice and friendly. Rooms are a bit small, but when staying there, you mostly need the room for sleeping (you will be skiing or working all day anyway). Room and bathroom are clean and the rooms all have a balcony. The rooms facing the street are smaller than the ones facing the mountains (the other side of the hotel).
Breakfast is good and plenty of choice. If you have skis, they give you a key to the locker room in the basement and every room has its own locker!

We stayed for the New Year vacation and really enjoyed it. The most pleasant thing for us was the friendly staff. They really made our trip very enjoyable addressing our numerous questions with smile and diligence. Thanks to Aza, Miguel, Ramina, Marjerie, Zara, Alona, Marlene, Antoine and others (sorry if I forgot anybody or misspelled) who were always happy to assist.

The hotel booked us a taxi for a lengthy trip and when they later discovered we were not happy with the service provided they took initiative to complain to the taxi company and negotiated a partial refund. We travel a lot but do not meet such devotion to services too often. Well done and keep up the standard!
