Stayed here Sept. 2010 and loved it! Big comfy room with a great view. Nigel and Marie are truly wonderful hosts. Best place in Chamonix; we would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at Chalet Chantel for a week during the Sunmer of 2010 and would thoroughly recommend it. It is a very comfortable chalet with fantastic views of the Alps and Mont Blanc. Nigel and Marie are very welcoming and helpful and on the one night we stayed in they cooked us a lovely meal. The lounge area is very comfortable and the seats outside on the decking area give great views of the mountains - there's also a jacuzzi outside to relax in

Really can't say enough about our stay at Chalet Chantel. We stayed for two nights in a room facing the Mt. Blanc Range. Wished we could have stayed two weeks or more...

Great views...literally looking right out onto Mt. Blanc, Midi Aguille and the entire range. Both sunrises and sunsets were great. Easy 10 minute walk into town for dining, shopping or strolling around...also to catch the cable car. Despite proximity to town, it was always very quiet and relaxing. The best part was the hospitality we experienced...both planning our stay and responding to our questions, and during our stay with suggestions and just checking in with us from time to time. Nothing seemed to be a problem. Truly wonderful proprietors and staff...helpful, informative, but not intrusive for someone seeking a quiet stay. Great hosts...

We were a bit uncertain about Chamonix in general and any B&B/small hotel in a new location...we had not visited here before. But, among the half-dozen stops we made during out trip to Paris, the French Alps and Burgundy, this was truly among our top favorites. We're already thinking about how to arrange a future trip to visit the Chalet again for a longer stay. We'll definitely be going back.

Just returned from a week at Chalet Chantel in Chamonix, with a party of 15 friends comprising 4 families and including 7 teenagers. Having had many skiing chalet holidays over the years, I think the Chantel experience is one of the best we have experienced overall.

It is a large, old house in a good position (about 10 minutes walk to the charming centre of the town) with fantastic views across the valley to the Mont Blanc massif. The rooms are spacious with lots of traditional character. The hot tub on the balcony, and the free wifi were also a big plus.

Owner Nigel was extremely friendly and helpful, arranging airport transfers, ski hire and lift passes for us in advance. He also provided advice each day on where the best skiing conditions were likely to be, and willingly shuttled us to and from the lifts at both ends of the day, in his large landrover. The chalet hosts, Vicki and Paul, looked after us wonderfully, and plied us with excellent meals (both quality and quantity).

Altogether a first class operation; I would not hesitate to go back and stay there if and when we ski in the Chamonix valley again.
