Situated close to the railway and bus stations, the Comfort Hotel offers no frills but decent value. The rooms have little in the way of views, but Old Annecy is only 10 minutes away on a path along the river bank - and Old Annecy has a lot to offer!

It is a pity the hotel serves only breakfast - which is very good. There are restaurants nearby, but to have a decent choice you need to go into town. The hotel bar is small, but stays open late - for more authenticity try the pub on the corner - definitely no frills!
Reception staff were particularly helpful, and were happy to call taxis and, in one case, find a dentist.

Some signs have the hotel as 2*, some say 3*. 2* is more accurate, and the room rates reflect that.

If you don't mind the walk into town, this hotel should serve most needs.

Stayed here as part of Leger Silver Service holiday at end of May 2007. An air of shabbiness pervades the place. Our bedroom was OK for size but electric sockets hanging off the wall. Sorted within 24 hours. We were on a coach with 36 seats, the bar lounge area could not accommodate 20. There were two coaches in at the time of our stay. You can imagine the chaos in the bar and at breakfast. The evening meal was brought in ready made from outside catering. There were 8 guests not supplied.
The only redeeming feature was the reception. The two girls worked hard and always had a smile.
No way can this hotel be recommended.

I had second doubts about going to this hotel as the picture of the front didnt make it look very special with that big lump of concrete to the left of the picture, how wrong I was as the lump of concrete turned out to be a small running water feature. I had found the room to be very spacious and very clean with telephone / tv / coffee and all what they said they had so that was a big thumbs up for me. I didnt try the restaurant or the bar so I cant comment but on them. BUT and this was a big but for me as I couldnt believe it.... I had used the telephone for 30 minutes to call home in a previous hotel a few days earlier and the cost was minimal (18 Euros) £12 for 30 mins isnt bad, but after the first night at the Comfort hotel I had asked for a balance as I phoned home to check on the children and for the same time 30 minutes it had cost me 53 Euros about £35... MY ADVISE IS DONT USE THE TELEPHONE Apart from the telephone incident I couldnt fault the hotel it was well worth the money that they charge and very clean.

Getting there wasnt all that clear as they dont really show a correct location but once there I am sure you wont be disappointed for the money they charge.

10-15 minute walk into the old town.

I will go back again.....
