My husband and I spent a week as part of our honeymoon at Le Mas des Figues and were swept away by the beauty and tranquility of the property. We were fortunate to stay in the 2nd floor room which offered a beautiful terrace overlooking the pool and rose garden, a king size bed (quite comfortable), and a claw foot soaking tub. Phillipe and Anne Marie were both gracious hosts. I have read some reviews on this site that denigrated the breakfast. Don't pay any attention. The lovely spread consisted of at least 10 savory vegetable dishes (beans, tapenade, ratatouille, fresh tomatoes, figs, lentils, etc.) and just as many sweet confections (sweet pepper preserves, cucumber preserves, plum, tomato, on and on), everything grown and prepared on the farm. One does pay extra for the breakfast but at many hotels the included breakfast is a thawed frozen croissant, lousy coffee, and hunks of prepackaged cheese. No comparison. The location offers easy access to many locales worth visiting and ,yes, you must have a car. Late September is a perfect time to visit. Cloudless warm days and few crowds. One other note: we are a gay couple and were warmly welcomed here and throughout Provence. We will love coming back here in the future.
Room Tip: There is only 1 room as far as we could tell that had a terrace. We didn't ask for it specifica...
