We stayed here for four nights in September. Our room was not in the main hotel but rather in a separate back building. While hardly spacious, it was well designed and suited our needs perfectly. It was tastefully decorated, bright with sunlight during the day, and the beds were comfortable. Because the hotel fronts a fairly busy street, its spacious back garden and swimming pool areas were a delightful surprise. Breakfast was excellent; staff was always helpful. With that said, there were two negatives. One, the exterior of our room faced a residential area (as opposed to the garden) and the early morning garbage pickup was noisy. Two, the bathroom had an open shower and water went all over the place. Despite these minor inconveniences, I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel de L'Image is a cool place. It is an old movie theatre that is renovated into a modern hotel. All of the rooms varied in size and shape. The bathroom in my room was great. The breakfast each day was great .... get there on the early side because they only put our one tray of scrambled eggs and when they are gone, they are gone. However, there are plenty of other wonderful things to find for breakfast. The grounds and pool are wonderful. From the hotel one can walk to everything in St. Remy (one of the best markets of Provence!).

Beautiful setting, lovely rooms, fabulous service, the south of France: What more could anyone ask? A thoroughly modern hotel on the edge of old St Remy with a two-part hotel. Rooms in the front are doubles with balconies. Rooms in the back are singles. If you get a single, just be sure to ask for a room facing the garden as the other side can be noisy. I stayed in a single room and was very pleased. It was well lit, with lots of natural light and the bathroom had a skylight. Nicely appointed and the wifi was reliable. The gardens are worth spending some time in. As nice as the hotel was, the front desk staff were what made the stay so enjoyable. They are helpful, knowledgeable, and take extra effort to make sure your stay is as perfect as possible. I can't wait to come back to St Remy just to stay here again.

I agree with the people who stayed on October 17th, we were there on October 16th. We had a large room with terrace and lovely view over the gardens and mountains. The welcome at the hotel was unprofessional. The overall feeling was that it was neglected. Somebody had a good idea to renovate a superb building and modernise to a high standard but lost interest. I think perhaps they are going under soon.

The walls and floors were marked and seemed unclean. There was only one bath towel in our bathroom. The pool area glass walls were dirty and the footbath empty and green. Michelin need to get their act together, we use their Red Guide a great deal and I too will write to them.
