I spent one night in this hotel and found it to be more than adequate. The hotel is located outside the very centre of Marseille. However it is about a 15 minute walk to the closest metro station which will take you to the centre of Marseille in less than 10 minutes. The hotel is close to the Stade Velodrome (about a 20 minute walk ) which was my reason for staying here.
The hotel is located in what seemed to me quite a safe area. I certainly had no fear walking back to the hotel late at night. Although my room was facing onto a main road I didn't hear ny traffic noise at night. Indeed the hotel on the whole was very quiet.
My room was of average size and also had a good sized bathroom. Both the room and bathroom were very clean. Tea and coffee making facilities were left in the room along with some biscuits.
I paid 55 Euros for a single room plus an additional 7 Euros for breakfast. The 7 Euros for breakfast was worth it. The breakfast consisted of a buffet and really had something for everyone. Cereal, cold meat, cheese, fruit, yogurt, bread, pastries, tea coffee and a choice of juice.
The hotel also has a bar located in the reception area. Although the bar had just closed the night I was there, the receptionist did get me a drink. Indeed I found the staff very friendly.
If you want to stay in the heart of Marseille this hotel may not be the most suitable. However if you want away from the hustle and bustle of the Port area and you don't mind the walk to the metro then I would certainly recomend this hotel.
