As stated in another user review, why this hotel is rated 3 stars is beyond us. It is in a sleazy part of town, and is noisy and second rate. It is not terribly close to the train station, it does not have an airport shuttle (as advertised on its web site), and it looks nothing like the photo of it that is online.
Our plan was to spend one night in Marseille, return a rental car, and then go to the airport the next morning. Trying to find the hotel by car was a nightmare, as it is on an alley that looks as though it is pedestrian only, and there was nowhere to unload. We then returned the car to the rental agency at the train station, and walked back to the hotel. The walk was okay, but would absolutely have been too far with luggage. We then spend a sleepless night in this hotel as music from a disco across the way blared on until 2am. The room itself was okay, but nothing to write home about (reminded me of a Motel 6). And in the morning, we were informed that the "airport shuttle" is available at the train station (which would have meant dragging our luggage there). A taxi ride from the hotel to the airport was 45 euros!
On the upside, the staff was very friendly.
In short, if you are catching a flight out of Marseille, you would do better staying at an airport hotel. We wished we had. As for the hotel, we do not recommend it.
