The grounds and the view (beautiful) are not the same level as the rooms nor the service ethic of the owner. Upon having a problem with our room (it was damp, had water stains on the walls, black mold in the shower and smelled stale), the owner was not client-oriented in the least. I would never return to this property based on his distastful way of doing business and approaching a problem. And I would not recommend to anyone. There are other lovely hotels in the area (with much better rooms at the same or better price point - we seached around after this experience). Enjoy those properties instead!

We stayed in a very comfortable large room with a huge, well appointed up-to-date bathroom.

High on a hilltop with a picturesque view of nearby Gordes and distant mountains, this mini-hotel was a great place to absorb the local charms. After a day of sights, we enjoyed relaxing in the garden with a glass of wine and a beautiful view, and then taking a few minutes for an easy walk to Gordes.

We had dinner one evening at the hotel, but the chef was not on duty. The meal was prepared by other staff and although it was good, it was not as memorable as we had heard it might be.

Our host was very pleasant and congenial making this a memorable place on our trip.

This is one of my favourite hotels in Provence and I have stayed there at least once a year for the past 3 years. It consistently impresses with it's laid back vibe and high standards.
The rooms, while luxurious are not fussy. Most are located around a beautiful courtyard overlooking the village of Gordes (a 5 minute walk away).
The restauarant is also of very high quality and often during the summer it is possible to dine outside.
While there are many hotel options in Gordes, I return to Mas des Romarins time after time beacuse of the consistency, location and also the value for money.
There is also a great pool.
The owners also have a hotel in St Remy de Provence which is equally good.

Great view of Gordes. Location is only 5 minutes from Gordes. Thought about staying in Gordes, but then the view of the village from the hotel is worth the 5 minutes walk. Waking up every morning to the view of Gordes is just speechless. Room is very nicely decorated. The hotel complex is just perfect. The hotel website doesn't do it the justice. Perfection.
