We have spent 4 nights at the Domaine de L'Enclos. The first one in one of the more expensive, bigger rooms directly attached to the main builiding and the following four in a smaller 'garden house' which was surprisingly cheaper if more modern and better equipped. Both rooms had small 'private gardens' with tables and chairs for small meals/snacks and sun loungers for relaxed sun tanning.

All accommodation is set in the beautiful grounds of the Domaine with stunning views especially from the main patio and the pool which has a good size for a hotel pool and has extra changing rooms and showers close to it.

And last but not least the town centre of Grodes is only a 10 min walk away so that you can easily go for a meal with a drink or two and return safely and quicky without having to drive.

We loved the breakfast, the view and the room. Service in general is poor and does not match the rate.

Ok you're in a beautiful landscapevin a old provençal house so why complain?
Because it does not worth The money!!! 4 stars? No way.
Owners think they can ask a lot without doing anything: no lunch during we. No bread at breakfast : sorry! Two beds become queen bed, sorry ! Mini bar is 4€, breakfast or brunch 25€... Room about 180€ for a small room. Help french to improve refrain for wasting money to greedy owners who take customers for cows to milk! You deserve better. A disgrace.

The journey to the hotel is wonderfully picturesque and the small town of Gordes is picture postcard and full of atmosphere.

The hotel is set in very spacious grounds and the setting is stunning. The grounds were nicely tendered and full of fragrant flowers. The pool area has a view that cannot be beaten. Swimming in the heated pool surrounded by views of the rolling hills of Provence was most enjoyable.

Sitting on the terrace drinking a bottle of chilled wine we were greeted by the chef who had been picking herbs in the garden. He convinced us that we should dine in the hotel that night although we had decided earlier that we would eat in Gordes itself. The choice was a great one as the food was superb, as was the presentation. The service was attentive and friendly and the meal was reasonably priced as were the wines.

The rooms were comfortable, and although not smart they were spotlessly clean and full of character . We had a room with our own very large garden complete with table and chairs and sun loungers. During our stay the weather was very warm so the garden provided a nice retreat after a day's sightseeing.

For the views, for the peace and quiet, for the friendly attentive service and for the dining, this hotel ticks the boxes.
