Found this little hideaway by accident while touring in Provence. It is situated on a rural road outside the village, Juncas, closer to Murs than Gordes. The meal was wonderful. We dined on the outdoor terrace with a full moon and the sparkling lights from the villages across the hills. The service was outstanding and the views sensational. Did not stay in the hotel, only had a dinner in the restaurant. Highly recommended for a special night.

We just returned from 2 weeks in the Vaucluse/Luberon area of Provence. Spent two days here at the end of our trip. Its ideally situated for touring this region. Sensational views and very quiet. They leave you alone, but are there when you need them. Front desk was very helpful with travel help and questions. Rooms are not all the same but are beautifully decorated. We were offered a great price on a junior suite as it was off season (end of Sept). Highly recommended,

A beautiful view, lovely balcony and very good service in the restaurant don't quite make up for the size of the room, disappointing breakfast and lack of customer service at the front desk. Overall I'd say the experience was completely average. It was my first time in the Gordes region - I usually stay in St. Remy. Personally I think St. Remy is significantly better and will probably stick with that area in the future.

The first impression we had when arriving at Le Mas des Herbes Blanches was outstanding. However, as the days passed, we kept noticing things that were not matching a four stars hotel.
For example, out of the 4 breakfasts we had in our room, 3 were brought with dirty cups or silverware. The cleaning of our room was sometime sloppy (crumbs still on the table...). One other thing: the bathroom was sometimes sented with a wonderful sewer smell!
But the thing that will definitely keeps us from going back to Le Mas and to a Relais Chateaux was that one night, we wanted to draw our 6 months old a bath: the tub was filled with brown water! And the only explanation we had from the receptionist was that the hotel is located in the country and that this kind of things eventually happens... This is definitely not the kind of things we wait for in a Relais Chateaux were we paid 240 € night!
