We have just returned back home after spending three nights at the ibis hotel in Sophia Antipolis. We do use the ibis hotels occasionally and are quite satisfied with the brand. This hotel however, although it meets all the standards of the ibis brand including the friendly service, has a big disadvantage and that is no other than the horrable smell that existed in our room which was situated on the ground floor of the hotel. I am not sure what the smell was perhaps mould or an old fitted carpet. This is why I do not think that we will ever visit this hotel again. On the plus site it is very good value for money and has very friendly staff.

Planned to stop here upon reading the website info on how it was set in a pine forest as thought it would be nice to chill out after visiting Nice. What a disapointment. The pool was closed, the terrace was closed and there was nothing else to do....ended up driving to a local supermarket to get some drinks/food after seeing the prices/options in the restuarant. The only good point, was the breakfast. Very good. It was not even cheap when I booked the hotel.....never again.

Quite expensive (90.-/night) including breakfast. Breakfast was ok. Rooms were outdated and small. Beds were outdated as well, and did not offer enough space for two. The area is very silent.
The hotel was easy to reach by car. The staff was partly friendly but did not always do what they promised me to do: I asked for a second pillow and they needed 3 runs and one night to bring me one.

WiFi was for free and worked quite well. The swimming pool looked not really inviting.

We stayed here two nights at the end of our holiday in France as it is very convenient for Nice Airport and just a short drive into Antibes or to go to the waterpark. Rooms are simple and clean and as a family of 4 we needed two rooms. The restaurant and facilities (including the swimming pool) were all better than we anticipated. All in all we thought this was excellent value for money (we had gone for the pre-paid internet rate) and breakfast deal we found was worthwhile.
