We stayed there last August in order to be close to Saint-Tropez! It was a very pleasant surprise. Situated in a beautiful square with picturesque buildings all around, hotel Bliss really impressed us. There were two restaurants just next to the hotel, parking space and access was very easy. The staff were very friendly and even spoke good english!!! The rooms were of good size, very modern and both rooms had a window or/and a small balcony. Breakfast was very basic but fresh and served by the staff on your table.
I would definitely recommend that either to couples or friends travelling together. Excellent choice!

we will never go back there again! we tried to leave earlier and we have to pay the full amount of the reservation !

Firstly, Cogolin is a 30/40 Euro cab ride, each way, from St Tropez. It will take you 20 minutes without traffic and over an hour in the busy Summer congestion.

The village of Cogolin is small and quiet with one or two bars.

I stayed at the hotel, which is clean, modern and comfortable because the internet rate for it's 'comfort' rooms represent extremely good value for money. Note: The shower in these rooms are handheld over the bath. The rooms have modern furnishings, plasma TV, modern bathrooms and are clean and comfortable. If you have a car, it's a perfect place to lay your head prior to exploring the next day. A large car park is adjacent to the hotel, albeit space is always at a premium,

If your happy with the location, have a car and you get a good rate I would certainly recommend the hotel; but do not expect to walk out at night in St Tropez..

We booked to stay at the Bliss for three nights as my sister lives in Cogolin, and was having her 40th birthday in St Tropez. The hotel was very clean and smart, but it was noisy. We could hear the people in the next room talking, and the cleaners woke us up early each morning outside the room. Sound proofing clearly not brilliant. However, the room (we booked a 'comfort' room) was fine for our purposes, ie somewhere to sleep and wash. The bathroom was lovely with a deep Villeroy and Boch bath, but the shower attachment was on the wall low down so you couldn't have a shower without having to hold the shower. It's quite difficult to wash your hair one handed! It wasn't a large room but comfy bed. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room but lots of cafes and fantastic patisseries on the doorstep. The iron was also broken so we had to take clothes to my sister's apartment to iron and walk back up the street with them!
The hotel definitely isn't in St tropez, and the traffic into town can be dreadful. There is a back route or go to Port Grimaud and get the ferry across to St Tropez. Chez Chrisfanny restaurant in Cogolin is gorgeous and we really like the bar that overlooks the boule court, which fills up with working class men from the village.
I probably wouldn't stay in Cogolin if my sister didn't live there but it's a nice contrast to the excesses of St Tropez, and SO much cheaper!
