We stayed in this lovely property in early October and it was one of the best holidays we've ever had. My wife kept saying it's our second honeymoon. Hotel is very conveniently located between Nice and Antibes. It has a lovely view of the sea and the old town. The house itself is very simple yet nicely decorated - it gives the impression of light and sophisticated space. And the owners - super nice. John is a riot with his drinks events in the evening and his writing - try to get to know him. Ann is very nice and always helpful.

Hi - we stayed with Ann and John some time ago and had an excellent time - their house is truly amazing, and despite its glamour, your hosts are very friendly and down to earth - all the little details have been considered - wifi, magazines etc etc so over to you to have a dip in the pool, enjoy the lavish happy hour - a buffet of drinks around the piano, pop out for a local dinner and then be surprised by a help yourself night cap bar on your return!!...the morning brings the sun and a great breakfast....bravo guys - this is not your budget hotel but heavens (without knowing the cost of a cupboard room in Saint Paul de Vence) this represents great value for money.....and lots of information for "out of towners" - parking easy ....the place available for weddings etc (a wow!) - for a treat for us mere mortals I'd recommend it thoroughly.

I spent 4 days at Villa St Maxime and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. John and Ann are amazing and help with every need including "happy hour" which sometimes runs into several hours. Francoise is a gem. The morning pastries were so delicious and plentiful, I only once had room left in my tummy for John's famous omelettes. The location is perfect. Very close to museum and the village with great shops etc. I stayed in one of the ocean view rooms with bath tub. Everything was wonderful. Peaceful, beautiful and perfect! I can't say enough and would recommend to family and friends.

Villa Maxime is perfect place to stay in St. Paul de Vence. John and Ann have taken special care of all possible needs. The Villa is beautiful, modern, wonderful cook-to-order breakfasts; evening apertifs. Staff members Francoise and Laura provide warm smiles and excellent service during morning breakfasts; and they keep the Villa spotless. We enjoyed the comfortable beds and fresh ironed sheets/pillowcases. Our son and his family first visited in 2010 and recommended the Villa, and so we visited 10 days in 2010. We were excited to return for 10 days in 2011 to celebrate Betty’s 70th birthday. John had champagne ready to toast Betty when she came for breakfast. The large Villa Master Suite is a great accommodation, especially for a special occasion (or anytime). Now we anxiously hope to return in 2012. It is a wonderful place to visit.
