“A special treat”

Le Hameau is a beautiful resort within walking distance of St. Paul de Vence, an hour north of Nice. The grounds were beautiful, lots of gardens and patios, and an amazing infinity pool. The room was lovely, too. And the staff went out of their way to help us - when we asked the manager about a bus to get to our car rental place he drove us there himself. The evening clerk was also most helpful whenever we had any questions. Thanks to all for a wonderful stay!

“a perfect spot in St Paul”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

A private parking lot is very conveniently located off the busy narrow road. As we’re unloading the bottom of our wine carton falls out and two bottle of pink wine smash on the pavement. The staff is very solicitous and even give us a free bottle of red to make up for our loss.

Le Hameau is in a very attractive setting. Various bungalows are spread over the grounds where there are views of the walled town of St Paul and all the way out to the Mediterranean. There is a very nice pool and attractive terraces where you can lay about. Our room has a large bedroom with Provencal decor with a TV, A/C, a fridge, wi-fi and screen on the windows. Our bathroom has a very large tub with a shower. Our friend’s room has a semi-private patio, but the room is small and she has to duck to get out the door without hitting her head. Her bathroom is tiny, and has a stall shower.

Breakfast is on a beautiful terrace with a view. Tea and coffee are delivered to us. Some very good food (croissants are my weakness) includes cooked eggs and I don’t mean hard boiled. You can even soft boil your own egg. Minor pleasures. And the day is turning bright and sunny.

Room Tip: I'm sure that room quality improves with price.

“The Essence of Provence”

You are greeted by flowers and trees that beckon you. Our room was charming and our
bathroom was state of the art with beautiful materials and double sinks. Our terrace had
a view that was straight out of a Cezanne landscape. It poured all the time we were there
and we still loved it.

“Just what we needed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

I live part time at Lake Como, Italy and like to visit the south of France just for a break. My guest had never seen any of the area, so Le Hameau provided a good central point for day trips to surrounding towns. The weather was hot during our five day stay, so we left each morning to see something different before returning to the beautiful pool for some relaxation before dinner. We walked into the walled city of Saint Paul for dinner each evening. Besides a wonderful location at an affordable price, the owners made a huge difference, as they really made us feel like family during our stay. We are not big breakfast people, so we did not pay 15 Euro = $22 each for that option. Out of respect for their business, no outside food or beverages are allowed in the outside common areas like the pool, but their beverage and snack service is top notch. It remains my first choice for a hotel in that area.

Room Tip: We changed rooms during our stay, and all areas seem to be good. The rooms are small, but you are no...

Very pleasantly surprised with this lovely hotel. Excellent and friendly service. Walking distance to St. Paul, Maeght Foundation, and restaurants. Cannot wait to return. Nice and varied breakfast buffet and snack menu. Very clean.
