“Simply Amazing, make sure you stay here.”

After a friend recommended this hotel, we were looking forward to staying here and it did not disappoint. After spending a few days in Marseille, this hotel was a little haven a sheer bliss with some of the finest views of the gulf of st. Tropez. The hotel staff were excellent and spoke English very well (much better than my broken French). They were helpful with restaurants, parking and places to visit (and even a take-away pizza one night!). We stayed in a scrubland view room, which was an utter delight - we could still see the sea! We opted not to have the breakfast at the hotel, as we prefer to get out and sample the local delights (and the breakfast is quite expensive at 12 EURO pp). The setting for this charming hotel is just perfect, with beautiful gardens/flowers and a welcoming pool. It is easy to sit and lose hours whilst you read on the comfortable chairs around the pool! We played tennis at the hotel; the balls could do with being renewed (or was that my excuse as my girlfriend beat me again). Situated on a hill it is probably not ideal for those who find it difficult to walk, but it also has plenty of parking spaces for those who wish (but be quick to get a prime space at the front at night). Do visit Port Grimaud (10mins drive) and St. Tropez (30mins on a GOOD day) - a must for a taste of Italy and to watch the wanna-be celebs on the harbour front. I absolutely loved this gem of a hotel and would return tomorrow if I could. Please look at the photos I have put up, as I believe some of those currently up do not do this place justice, it is an amazing find.

Room Tip: Scrubland view rooms are just as amazing as the sea view rooms.

“We will return”

A very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. The position was perfect for ourselves as we are good walkers and managed to walk in and out of Ste-Maxime (about 20 mins) at least twice a day for a whole week, once in the mornings to catch the lovely ferry to St Tropez and Port Grimaud and then later in the evenings to the huge selection of restuarants... we had a great time! As we travelled down by car it was very pleasant to stay at a hotel with plenty of safe, free parking.

“Beautiful location, comfortable rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2010

We had a wonderful short stay in a room overlooking the Saint Tropez bay. Doors open up to an open space outside where you have your own table and chairs. The bed was comfortable and we although we are not fans of air conditioning, we did enjoy it this time. We slept like babies. Breakfast was also good and we took it outside. You can also have breakfast in your room for just 1 extra Euro.

“really nice surprise in St. Maxime!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 March 2010

My husband and I spent a night in this lovely hotel during a short getaway. I had never heard about this hotel until my husband found it on the web and booked us there for a night. I checked their website and looked nice but I didn't really know what to expect.
Check -in time was at 14.00 hs and we arrived at 11.00 hs, but our room was ready so we didn't need to spend hours until check in time.
The room is a bit outdated, it isn't exactly like the pictures show, but it was clean and decent. There was a flat screen TV, A/C and we had a lovely balcony with sea view. You have wifi in the room, too.
The bathroom was nicer than in the pics I had seen on their website and the shower was pretty good as were the big, fluffy towels.
Check out time was -low season- 12.00 hs, and we could live our luggage at the reception so that we didn't need to leave it in the car in the parking in St. Tropez for our last visit. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was pretty good -you do have to pay EUR 12 for it, after all- parking is free, which isn't that common in hotels in southern France.
We slept with the balcony door open and could hear the trees rustling, very peaceful!
I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking to be near St. Tropez but want peace to sleep at night. Cant' wait to visit again!

“Could be very good after some technical improvements”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2009

Great location, our studio had view over the bay and St Tropez. 5 min walk to the nice pebble beach (howewer, right at the trough road). 20 min walk to the center of Ste Maxime. Parking on hotel premises. A lot of garden space belonging to studio. Big pine trees, palm trees, hedges.
Stayed 1 week in studio No. 9 (no room service)
The hotel team is friendly, however not very eager to do the necessary technical improvements. The air conditionings of the studios are very old and the equipment on the outside of the building makes a lot of noise that is transmitted into the studios. This gave heavy low frequency resonances that can prevent you from sleeping. Most studios have the double bed on a mezzanine that you cannot cool down for the night (no windows on that level). This means problems in hot summer.
The one little parasol is not enough in bright sun - an awning would be necessary to be protected against the sun. Minimum budget terrace furniture (green plastic).
The overall aspect of the studios is a bit out of date, very small (see attached photos of the entrance/childrens bed/upstairs ladder area)
Hotel staff said they would update the air conditioning system soon.
Since nice hotels seem to be rare in Ste Maxime, I would hope that the necessary is done to get the hotel back to 4.5 points.
