We (Mother & daughter, 31 & 56) stayed in this hotel for 4 days. We did book this hotel thinking that it was in Nice, which it isn't. However the resort of Saint Laurent du Var was lovely and had all we required for a small relaxing trip - beach, restaurants, bars, shops & nice promenade!
The hotel itself is in need of an update, with a very 70's look to the decor. However it is clean with great maid service daily. On first arriving the white towels were not exactly what I would call white, but maybe we were unlucky that first day, as the next few days we were given white newish towels.
The view from the balcony is of a high rise building, so if this is important to you then avoid this hotel.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and allowed us to keep our room on the last day with no extra charge.
On arrival at the hotel it does look like you've arrived in the middle of furniture shops & busy street, however it is only a 2 min walk to the beach & promenade. Also nearby is a shopping centre - Cap3000.
The beach is pebbles but you can pay & go into a man made sandy beach complex with pool & restaurants, called 'Cocody beach'. The charge is qiute high at 17euros each, but this is much cheaper if you stay at the holiday inn.
Overall the hotel is far from the best but suitable for a short break & the resort makes up for all the hotel lacks.
