“Great hotel, if you can afford it”

I stayed at this hotel for a conference and must say that it was great. The room was absolutely luxurious. The bed was big and comfortable, the bath was great and I had a balcony with sofa with a lovely view of the coastline. The restaurant served very good food, which was actually not as expensive as you might think and the swimming pool is incredible (big, sandy bottom, various hot tubs). I really could not complain about anything except that I probably won't be able to stay here on a private trip due to the price tag.

“Fantastic Hotel best ever service”

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Monte Carlo Beach Hotel and feel very relaxed and spoilt. The hotel is small and just outside the main centre but perfect if you like a quiet life. The walk to the centre is about 20 minutes and it is beautiful, otherwise the hotel run a shuttle service every 20 minutes until about 6 pm. The hotel staff are friendly and very efficient, you will want for nothing. The rooms are spotless and the views beautiful. Only gripe I had was there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but then I think this is because the staff would like to make it for you (at a charge of course). The hotel staff have thought of everything to make your stay relaxed and enjoyable. We will definitely return - the sooner the better.

“Great Value and Service!”

My wife and I are living in the UK for work and decided to take a trip to Monaco. It was a wise choice. Monaco is not exactly the hub of social excitement, but there was enough to do during the day to keep us busy and not so much as to make one feel overwhelmed. The best part of the trip was the hotel. The Monte Carlo Beach Hotel came highly recommended by Trip Advisor Readers and after staying there, we can see why.

The good- The hotel staff was attentive and courteous. The accommodation was beautiful and the location was perfect.

The bad- although tasty, the hotel restaurant was expensive and limited in choice. There are no real vegetarian options anywhere in Monaco, but especially at the hotel. Also, the concierge staff was limited by both language skills and options. Best bet is to pre-plan your own day trips.

Hotel staff- The staff seemed to be the only people in Monaco to have a good working knowledge of English. Most other Monaco residents either did not know or refused to speak English. The staff was courteous and generally helpful.

The accommodation- The accommodation was a great choice and well worth the money. The rooms are small and minimally decorated, but the view alone was worth the price. We highly recommend the “exclusive sea view” rooms. They are worth the money! Another interesting note, this was the cleanest hotel we ever stayed at. It actually smelled good- so good in fact, that we were wishing our own home smelled that nice (like fresh cut spring flowers). The verandas have flower boxes on them.

The location- we recommend this hotel mostly for its location. It is at the far east end of Monaco, close enough to town to see and do, but far enough away to escape the noise of the city. The hotel had a free shuttle that took us back and forth to the center of Monaco.

All in all, a great value and pleasant stay! Highly recommended.

  • Liked — Clean. Neat. Beautiful. Location.
  • Disliked — Food pricy and limited. Only spoke French, limited English or Spanish.

“Disappointed with hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2006

As was advised, we joined the Le Club of Monaco
on the assumption that one would be upgraded
upon arrival to the participating hotel.
Well, that is not the case. I was told that there
were no Jr. suites available. However, my agent
had booked me into a suite, I produced my copy
of the receipt. Where upon suddenly there were
suites, they showed me 3 rooms that looked
into the pool that were so poor that I declined
them, then they offered us the big suite two-
story that had a nice view, but is so sparsely
decorated it is barron..
The hotel is too far from the main attractions
and restaurants. The shuttle stops running
to the hotel at 7 p.m. So you are faced with
15 dollar cab rides.
It offers little in the way of food, etc...
The hotel staff were nice...access to the beach
club is nice, however, not so nice when they
decide to throw a big party outside and the
music blasts until way hours..
All in all Monaco is a very safe place to visit...
No matter when you decide to go, be prepared
to know it will be jammed with tourists. In the
summer it is families, after school starts it is
the thousands of European tourists arriving
on Buses.....
Monaco is more suited for a day visit of 2 to 4
hours, it is a haven for the wealthiest of
people worldwide....

  • Liked — If lucky enough to get a room, the view
  • Disliked — They were sparse, cold, nothing to offer...
