“Beautiful Hotel”

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The room and bathroom were very clean, nicely decorated and full of what you needed (bathrobes, drinks, bath soap, etc..). The ground is very nice: it includes a swimming pool and a patio. The only comment I have is that for the price you pay, the breakfast could be included. Instead the breakfast was 13euros more. The owners are really nice and helpful people. I would definetely go back.

“A haven of peace”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2010

This little hotel, tucked in the countryside near Grimaud, is a lovely hideaway, a peaceful retreat from the busy village (Grimaud) and from the Cote d'Azur. We stayed only one night, the night of our arrival in France (most other clients were there for longer stays). Arriving hot and tired we were thankful to note that the AC worked efficiently and well. Spacious room, comfortable bed, clean, modern, well-appointed bathroom. Very friendly reception and ample parking. Good-sized pool and well-maintained grounds. On the minus side, two small complaints: 1) no place in room to put suitcases. We had to put them on the floor. 2) a carpenter arrived early the next morning to continue work on the deck/ terrace of our room and the one common to it. A rude awakening to jet-lagged travelers but, in the end, a minor inconvenience.

“Great Place Close to Saint Tropez”

We travelled around the South of France for ten days, and both agreed that this was the best hotel we stayed. A verger is similar to a farmhouse, and this one was newly renovated. We had a beautiful room with an ivied balcony on the second floor overlooking the pool. It had an amazing bathtub and separate shower, huge bed, and plush white carpeting everywhere. The hosts, Phil and Anya, were very friendly, and the breakfasts were good. It's a great quiet location, near enough to Saint Tropez to drive there every day, very close to the attractive walled town of Grimaud, and convenient for exploring surrounding areas.

“Charming and relaxing hotel ......”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2010

Recently stayed for three nights. As I understand it this hotel is a converted and extended Provence farmhouse and each room is of different design and size.

We were in the Grand Larch room which is a corner unit on the ground floor. This meant that in addition to the windows overlooking the garden and pool we also had a full patio door. This made the room very light and airy. Outside the patio door were a table and 4 chairs. The room, while not large, was very nicely decorated and fitted out (fridge, safe). The bed had good linens and was very comfortable. The A/C worked well. The window shutters and patio door were of good quality. There was adequate storage for a party of two staying for several nights.

The bathroom was very large, tiled in tumbled travertine and comprised a bath, double sinks and a 'rain' shower cubicle. Very luxuriant. There were a separate bidet and WC. Everything was spotless and worked well.

Breakfast was taken on the wisteria covered patio and comprised either a continental or buffet breakfast. Both were good. They also serve lunches in the summer months. The hotel stands in its own grounds so there is plenty of parking. The pool is large (not heated when we were there) surrounded by a large lawn with plenty of chairs and loungers for a relaxing read.

The owners were very hospitable and friendly providing details of local restaurants etc. They also provided local and foreign papers on various mornings.

The hotel is about 2 miles outside of Grimaud in a quiet rural setting and ideal for getting to the nearby Cigaro beaches. You can walk to Grimaud in the day in about 20/25 minutes. In the evening you need a car because there are few street lights between the hotel and the town.

All in all a most enjoyable and relaxing stay.

“An oasis of peace and charm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2010

Stayed here for a week In August . What a beautiful small hotel. In this delightful area of France. Service was second to none we found Annya and Phillipe so charming and polite and both spoke very good English Location was very quiet and the atmosphere nice and relaxed. Breakfast buffet had plenty of options and the food was excellent, the hotel does not generally do evening meals but they were happy to suggest some very nice resturants locally. The rooms were beautiful and maid service every day this was more more like a 5 star hotel than a 3 star Thank you for a wounderful stay.
