I wasn't sure what to expect, so was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The rooms are small and basic, but clean and with everything I needed. As others have commented, the staff on reception deserve a mention for their friendly, helpful service.
Although the hotel isn't situated in the most salubrious of areas, everywhere was easily accessible on foot and I felt safe enough walking back even after dark. The airport bus stop is just a stone's throw away which is definitely a bonus when you have luggage.
I was in a room overlooking the street and there was a fair bit of noise well into the night. A light sleeper (which I'm not) could have problems. Having said that, Nice is so built up, that unless you're on a top floor, I imagine it could be exactly the same in many other hotels.
If like us, you're intending to spend most of your time out and about and need a hotel just for an hour or so in the morning and a couple of hours at night, then this one is good value. I would be happy to stay there again.
