I found the hotel to be very comfortable, at a bargain price, great location (i could see the station from my window) 10 min walk to the waterfront.

Although it is a few months later than our actual experience, and we have been travelling quite a bit since then, I still recall the remarkably approachable, consistently helpful and courteous front desk staff. The men and women probably spoke four languages and were always available to answer tourism inquires and to offer specific directions and useful information. We actually extended our stay there an additional three days because the hotel was so comfortable and there was so much to see and do in Nice. We also returned there, after some road travelling on on our, to spend our final two nights. The accommodations have been recently rennovated and the local is within a small, friendly community and close to the train to Cannes.

My wife and I stayed at My Hotels Ayri de Nice during a stopover in Nice. While we didn't expect much considering this is a budget hotel, we were disappointed that it didn't even live up to our modest expectations. Our room was no better than a private room with ensuite at a decent youth hostel.

The location of this hotel (opposite of Nice main station) is very central and great for all transport links with train, tram and (airport) bus.

But it's situated very close to some adult stores and it's a very suspicious area in Nice with ruined buildings, dirty streets. I think this should be more specifically described for some guests.

I think same rooms in the hotel a really run-down with basic standard, which does not represent more than 1*.

At our stay the shower was a adventure. 2 days without warm water, the last day there was warm water (with low water pressure) for some hours in the early evening. Our room was in poor shape and the air condition did not work well. But it was a good sized room for France

I had never the impression that the hotel "puts quality and guest satisfaction at the top of the list", as written on there homepage, but the receptionist was okay.

Breakfast: Ran out of food and cutlery constantly, although it might be okay for some persons if you arrive very early. The cheese and ham were offered unchilled and the pastries seemed to be at least 1 day old.

At all I think it is a great hotel for budget traveller like students or backpacker which want a popular-priced hotel and good transport links. If you expect ambiance, service and a nice decorated room I will recommend to choose another hotel.

The management underachieve the potential of the hotel, if they would refurbish all rooms, the water pipes and enhance the breakfast, the hotel would be a great choice for many travellers.
