We stayed at this hotel in January 2012 based on recommendations on Trip Advisor and were very pleased. Staff members were extremely congenial, location was ideal, price was reasonable and room was more than adequate. Since there is no elevator, persons who can't climb stairs may not want to stay here, but that should be the only deterrent. We were even contacted promptly by the manager as we left our credit card in the safe. She saved us a lot of grief. Will definitely stay here again if we return to Nice.

This hotel is very welcoming.

We arrived at around 9pm to be greeted by a lovely receptionist. She showed us to our room and provided a free drink too. We were lucky to have a front facing with balcony however, we did send the hotel a request for this some time ago. The room is a little small, but clean and tidy. Your not in there long enough, just out exploring. We never had the breakfast so can't comment.

We did have a power cut for two hours on the Saturday morning. But not the hotels fault.

Just a little info: Airport to Nice centre is bus 98 about 20min, about 4 euro's each.
Bus to Monaco number 100 takes about 45min and is 2 euro's each. Bonkers I know.

Nice old town is very good. Lots of places to eat and drink. Try the Monaco drink. Lovely.
We were lucky to be in Monaco when the Monte Carlo rally was in town too. The water front is beautiful.

My only criticism is the dogs mess. It's everywhere! And for a city like Nice this is not good.

Would we go back? Yes.

My Boyfriend and I spent two nights in this hotel.

The plus is that the hotel is conveniently located, close to all transport and about a 20min walk to the beach. It is not in the noisiest area of Nice, but the breakfast crowd from the Cafe's below could be a disturbance if you are a light and sleeper.

It had a working and effective air-con unit, and it was clean. The down side is that the room is really small. Breakfast is available on the premises at an additional cost, the staff was friendly and helpful.

I don't think that the hotel was unfairly priced, but if you're not happy with a small room to sleep in and stairs to get there then don't book at this hotel. Overall I would stay here again if I was looking for budget accommodation.

My wife and I spent a week here in April and loved the experience. The location is superb; right in Old Nice and very close to Place Garibaldi and the Port. The staff all spoke English and were extremely friendly and helpful. I would avoid the expensive breakfast served there - there are lots of cafes and boulangeries very close by.
