The hotel is indeed in a convenient location. Part of the old town, near trams, antique district and Garibaldi Square stores. Picked it because of the location and pleased with that part. Tiny, pretty room. Had breakfast the first day -- out of four. You sat at a long rectangular table with other guests. No one talked much. Turned out that cold cuts and cheese were outside the front door so not obviously available. Staff was friendly, made phone calls and answered questions, but didn't offer any drinks to me. Even though there was a bottle of water in the room it was accompanied by a note stating the price.
Mainly, the controller or the unit for heat never worked properly. Since it was winter, I was just cold most of the time in my room. They sometimes got it to work but the next time I turned it on--no heat. No heat in the bathroom unless the door was open. There was heat in reception and adjoining breakfast area. Just a mystery.
