We stayed at this hotel for the duration of the Monaco Grand Prix. The location is excellent, but that's as good as it gets.
The receiption area is nice and clean, however things go downhill once you get to your room. We had two rooms in the hotel, both were of a poor standard of cleanliness. The carpets were old, and the walls marked with what appeared to be what I can best politely describe as 'nasal mucus'.
My room had a stale tobacco smell to it. A friend was in another room and suffered what we thought were very bad mosquito bites, so bad he had to go to a doctor to get medication. He was then told it was spider bites, probably while he slept.
I would not use this hotel again, after the experience I would rather spend more money and have a far more enjoyable time.

Admittedly when we arrived at the Med Hotel, we weren't too impressed, especially my Partner. The Matress was a bit too large for the Bed, there was a smell of dampness in the Bathroom and Carpet in the Corridor was quite mouldy looking. We agreed to give it a night to see whether or not wanted to move elsewhere the next day. After our first night, our impression of the Med completely changed. The Matress, though a bit large for the Bed, proved to be very very comfortable, we had no problem sleeping any of the nights we stayed. The Air Conditioning worked perfectly, there was plenty of Hot Water in the Shower and in the morning we were served a very tasty Breakfast. The Staff were also very pleasent. I was travelling with some Musical Equipment which had to stay in the Hotel during the Day and everything was always still there when we returned after the Room had been cleaned.

This hotel is very good if you can settle with the basics or if you are active on your vacation. The hotel has a really good location extremely close to the Promenade d'Anglais and quiet close to the shopping street and the old part of Nice (Old town). Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly and immediately started to explain where to go in Nice. The room was clean, a smaller TV and an aircondition was available and there is free wireless internet. 1 Med Hotel and the city of Nice is definetely worth a visit!

The hotel is very centrally located, literally a stone's throw from the Promenade.

From the airport take the #99 bus to the train station, then first road from the bus stop straight down until you reach Rue De France, then turn right into it and the hotel is there.
Rue De France goes into Rue De Massena which is the main pedastrian area with bars and resturants.

The room is small as is the bathroom but is perfectly adequate if all you want is a place to rest your head. Breakfast is 6 euros which consists of tea/coffee, crossaint. baguette, jam, butter, honey. There are plenty of cafes and bakeries in the area if you don't fancy the breakfast offered by the hotel.

Lastly the frant of desk staff were very very helpful with tips and information.
