The location is first class, being close to beach front and bus links to airport.We had a sea view room 406 , with a change of sheets and towels every day.Bed very comfortable.The hotel was very clean and presentable although dated,but this added to its charm.
All the staff on reception, and doing cleaning ,were friendly and helpful.
The plumbing and air conditioning worked well, and were not noisy,which cannot always be said for many hotels.
The breakfast was basic but adequate for our needs.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay which was excellent value for the money.

Stayed at the Ambassador Hotel in late Sept 2011. Booked last minute online, and was disappointed in what we got relative to what we paid for. Positive: good location very close to restaurants, the sea, and Old Nice. Minuses - very outdated interiors (we stayed in Room 405, with ocean view, but would have settled for less of a view and a better room). If that was a "superior" room, would have hated to see a regular room! Room felt shabby and though not visibly that dirty (i.e, no actual rubbish on the floor), all furnishings felt very old in need of replacement, bathroom had *painted* tiles (which you could tell because the toilet had been replaced and tiles behind toilet had not been painted - shody repairs!), hand held shower meant water was everywhere every time you tried to use it. Bed was very uncomfortable as well - like a pull out sofa bed; thin mattress atop spring base, no box frame. Hallways were dark and dingy, elevator was unreliable (wouldn't always stop on the floor you requested), and since we were facing the main street, it was very noisy all day long (and you could hear other guests talking and coughing in their rooms, so not well insulated from floor to floor). Wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't stay there again.

We stayed here september 2011,great location for the 98 bus from the airport.Clean hotel, beds and towels changed daily. The breakfast was basic continental but was fine for us.Hotel staff were friendly and helpfull. We will stay again.

We booked with the tourist office of Nice for one Night and when arrived we liked this Hotel and i decided with my Friend to stay 5 Night excelent holiday ,the staff very kind , our room was very clean with a really sea view and the location is excellent good adress near the beach and for schopping, we hope to come back next year.
