“Handy for the train station”

Convenient location for the railway station but not in a nice part of Nice. Venere website suggests it's 15 minutes walk to the beaches but we are fairly fast walkers and it took us more like 20 minutes. Air conditioning in the room was effective and quiet and there was a stylish flat screen TV. The room was clean but the bed was a bit dodgy with the springs collapsed on one side.

“Perfectly adequate accommodation”

While not situated right next to the Nice beach, Hotel Beausoleil is perfect for a couple looking to save on accommodation while holidaying in the Cote d'Azur.

Small but comfy rooms with satellite digital TV and a decent bathroom are completely adequate. There is a large dining area for evening meals, and staff are genuinely helpful. An old elevator disects the building and gives the place some old charm. There are restaurants around and you're ten minutes walk to the beach. Room prices are pretty cheap too - you get good value for money.

If you want luxury, move along folks. But for no-nonsense comfort and location (a short walk from the train station), this is perfect.

For: Basic but pleasant comfort, central location
Against: If you want to be on the beachfront, it's not for you.
Sum Up: A good, trusty hotel
