Friendly staff, clean rooms, quite location, lovely balcony. Room facilities as described.

We had a very comfortable 4 night stay and will be booking to go back next year.

Great location, only 3 minutes from the beach, on the bus route from the airport and with several supermarkets to choose from with a 5 minute walk.

Nice is a lovely place, friendly people with a great choice for eating out.

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of August - 3 adults in a 1 bed apartment.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Although the rooms were a little tired they were clean.

Most of the balconies were in the shade in the evening - if you can go for a higher floor. If you are a real sundowner fan, then take your own drinks up to the roof terrace.

The self catering was great for breakfast (a superb bakers right by the hotel) and popping back from the beach at lunch time. In the evening a 20 minute stroll to the old town for dinner, where you can easily spend the money you have saved during the day.

So great for a short stay, but not if you want resort facilities or a longer stay.

If you are arriving by train, there is a great bus service which stops outside the hotel - a 5 minute journey for 1 Euro.
A taxi costs 20 euros, if you are a fan of white knuckle rides then that's the only way I'd justify the expense!

There are definitely pros and cons with this place so I recommend that you read the reviews carefully before booking. To start with the positives, traveling as a family, this aparthotel saved us a fortune in food costs as we were able to cook in the apartment. Also, the sofabed was actually a comfortable trundle - possibly they have replaced the sofabeds everyone seemed to complain about in earlier reviews. The location was also very good - toward the quieter end of the promenade, about a block from the beach.
As far as negatives, first, I would say that the place is a bit shabby and there is some deferred maintenance. The carpets really need to be replaced, and the halls could use a painting. If this type of environment would bother you on a vacation, then this may not be the best choice for you. A second pretty big negative was the bed in the master bedroom -- the mattress was severely caved into the middle. We did not sleep well here (although our kids were very comfortable on the trundle beds). With a small additional investment, management could make this place really good - but as is it is borderline.

About 5 minute walk to the beach.

Rooms are a bit tired, but they have everything you need to prepare your own meals, so gives you an option rather than having to eat out every night. Laundromat also on site.

Fold out couch for a bed which was average. They do have air-con though- an essential if staying down here in summer.

I would also budget on having to use their car park too which was 15 Euro per day, as its virtually impossible to find street parking in Nice.

Overall, not a bad place to stay, and its certainly nice having the facilities to cook for yourself if need be.
