What a dump. I can put up with a lack of amenities if that's compensated for by some charm and style, but the Choiseul offers neither. What does it offer?
Small, hot and noisy rooms with the great great smell of French drains and old tobacco.
Hard beds
Crispy towels
Broken shower - anywhere to fix the shower head had long disappeared.
Broken toilet seat
No shampoo - but of course
No Wi-fi - ditto, though reference to Internet is made on the hotel details
Crappy TV offering a choice of six channels.
No wardrobe or proper clothes space - hanging rails only
Largely uninterested staff
Nothing of any possible interest in the vicinity
Long walk to the beach, the old town, the promenade or anything else you might want to enjoy in Nice.

Taking the positives, it's real handy for the station and you're unlikely to oversleep and miss your train. .

I wouldn't have wanted to stay in a room like this when I was a student, never mind now. Horrible.

If you want to sit on your bed all night and shake from fury - just go there!!! We spent there 4 nights, were not able to sleep one single nights because this hotel despite 3 stars (what a bad joke!!!) serve as student hostel for gangs of italian teenage students - and teachers were not helping to calm down all that shouting, screeming etc.

Oh dear god. The woman on reception couldn't have cared less. Its a bad sign when they couldnt even be bothered to plump the cushions on the sofas in reception. Decor circa 1991. Room small and grubby had to ask to be changed - got one a bit nicer but not much. Bathrooms were clean. 1985 TV, No wardrobe just a wire rack thing, lamps falling apart, curtains that didnt cover the windows. I dont need to go on really just to say its next to a sex shop, its noisy, grubby and next to a horrible train station with homeless tramps outside. AVOID!
