“un hotel tres agreable pour visiter la ville”

We chose this hotel because of its central yet still quiet position and its 4 star comfort and stayed for a weekend to explore Nice during winter time. It corresponded perfectly to the description published on the Hotel's website. A perfect place if you like to walk, close to all major attractions but not crowded. Very nice and elegant design inside-outside: spacious lobby, lovely and weell-lit corridors, decorated with tiny shining stars, imitating the night sky, all areas are clean and well taken care off. We had a good-sized room, with excellent, large beds, tastefully furnished, the kind of modern design-type, but not too fancy (with the exception of the tiny bedside tables which can be dangerous because of their metal decoration), more on the classical side, white-creamy-dark colours, well mixed. We asked for a quiet room and were given a really quiet one, overlooking to a courtyard. Bathroom amenities are sufficiently provided but not in excess, good towels and bedsheets. Excellent and fast check-in, kind and very professional staff everywhere: at the counter, at the restaurant, down to the roomkeepers. We would definitely love to go back and had a nice stay.

Room Tip: Perfect for a short visit to Nice, very closed to Musee Massena, within a 15-minutes walk to the Rus...

“Near the beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Clean rooms and larger than what we had in Paris. A must do: Rent a bike on the Promenade and enjoy the beach as well. Breakfast staff was great. Front desk directed us to the bus stop but it never arrived. Ended up walking to the train station.

“With a Special Offer This is a Must Do !”

Hi again !
My wife and I stayed in early December [ very lucky with the exceptional weather ] and were delighted with the reception we received from the staff , from when we arrived outside to booking in & best of all ! receiving an upgrade as it was our 30th anniversary.
We had a side sea view [ as I don't thing there is a direct one ? ] The room was nice with a king size bed and all you need. Roof Top Pool and Stunning View of the bay [ & some close encounters with some airlines who just wanted a better view of the roof top bar etc ! ]
All the staff especially management did their very best to make The Irish Pair feel right at home but with the SUN !
Super 5 day stay and we will be back for More TLC !
Merci Beaucoup !

“Not on the Promenade but very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

Even if the hotel’s address says it is on the Promenade des Anglais it is actually not. It is located on a side street very close to the Promenade. This means rooms have no direct sea view. Those on the front side of the hotel have side sea view. So remember this when making the reservation. The street is very quiet and, as I said,a few steps from the Promenade des Anglais. In 5-10 minutes you can reach one of the streets getting to the center and you have wide choice of shops and restaurants along this street (if you don’t want to eat in the elegant restaurant of the hotel).
A spacious lobby with plenty of armchairs welcomes you. The hotel features a panoramic terrace with a heated swimming pool and a nice garden to relax.
Our room was a superior room, larger than other rooms, with a comfortable large bathroom and a wide window with city view and side sea view. There was free internet access (cable connection not the now common WiFi connection) and a minibar with 5 free soft drinks. Air conditioned and flat-screen TV with many satellite channels.
The only minor faults were some pieces of furniture (a narrow table, an uncomfortable plastic chair and some cheap plastic lamps) you don’t expect to find in a four stars hotel. The table, being too small, was uncomfortable even to use the laptop. I think they tried to cheaply renovate the room considering only the interior design but not the guests’ comfort.

“Good accomodation and value in Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

We stayed at the Elysee Palace for 4 nights in September 2011. We stayed in a Superior room which was somewhat 'kitch' but it was well kept, clean, comfortable and of reasonable size (certainly larger than the standard room size in most French hotels) The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also of reasonable size, modern, clean and featured a marble/travetine finish. The shower was incorporated over the bath which is pretty standard for European hotels.
Service in the hotel was friendly, pleasant and efficient and the standard of English is very good. We had breakfast included in the tariff and very much enjoyed eating 'al fresco' (there is indoor eating facilities but the weather was too nice!). The breakfast had a good variety of foods and was more than adequate. The rooftop pool was smallish but adequate with good views over Nice.
The location was good; a short 5-10 minute walk to the centre of the shopping and eating area. The 'beach' was virtually across the road (by Australian standards this is no beach! Beaches have sand not pebbles & stones!) There is a bus stop very close by to go to the station or other areas of Nice.
We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. We booked directly through the hotel website.

Room Tip: Book for a superior or deluxe room for added comfort.
