Beware! I want to warn everyone against this terrible hotel. Me and a buddy accidentally rented a room at the hotel for a week. The room was ok apart from mildew and rot smell from the bathroom. The staff and hotel manager was unfriendly and I experienced being verbally harassed in the roughest of the hotel manager because I repeatedly dared to ask for something as simple as toilet paper that was not refilled after several days.

I was very happy with the accommodation, although the rooms were a little outdated. But they had french charm! The shared bath was fine for us too. Location was great, and the staff was incredibly helpful. I would return here!

Also, the moroccan food on the same block was delicious... I could have eaten there every night.

I booked a room for myself with private bathroom and minibar. Upon arrival I get a room with a shared shower two floors down. When complaining to the hotel staff, they told me that the hotel was fully booked and that it was not possible to get another room. I was not given the room I booked, because apparently there was a humidity problem, but no one informed me, nor was I given a discount. Only after complaining did I get 15 EUR back from the EUR 65 I paid. Still is EUR 50 way too much for the room I got, and I would've never booked this room, had I known all this before.
The room was very simple and only tv 5 channels were working. No AC, some old standing fan and no toilet, nor shower in the room. WIFI was only working 3 floors down in the hall way. All in all, not a good hotel!

We stayed two nights at Hotel du Centre, Nice. We checked out on a Sat. morning, walked to the Hertz office (1 mile away) to pick up our rental car. The Opel only had 4000 km on it, but it smoked and died at our hotel. We do not travel with a cellphone or laptop, so the hotel called the Hertz office for us and explained our dilemma. When a truck hauled the car away, the hotel again called Hertz for us to get a cab. They let us park our luggage at the desk while we waited & got us a sandwich & drink (almost 4 hours total wait). They were extremely helpful, kind, courteous and knowledgable about where we were going (Aix-en-Provence,etc.). This is only a 2-star hotel but we had everything we wanted and needed, and we would definitely stay there again. It's also located very conveniently on the tramline, within an easy walk to shopping, restaurants & the beach.
