Its location is one minute away from the tram stop and a main shopping area. There is also a Monoprix grocery store within one block.
Yet, the hotel is tucked just out of the hustle and bustle.
All of the staff were kind and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay at the Grand Hotel le Florence.

Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was small but clean (two twin beds). It may have the smallest shower ever, but it did the trick.
We didn't have the breakfast as it was an additional charge.

A short weekend trip to the Cote de Azur was on schedule in early September. Flying out of Toulon and an afternoon arrival at Nice seems better to stay in Nice. A good decision. Nice, what else? and warm weather conditions , really good city pictures in the early evening. The hotel is some ten minutes to walk from the main train station located in a relatively quiet street beside the main pedestrian only way to the promenade. I´ve ordered a room on the top floor in advance. Everything well prepared for me. No time to wait during check-in. The room well sized, clean and nice designed. Wodden floor is always a plus for me. Despite the fact that the room was facing the street it was a quiet night and a good time to sleep for me.
No breakfast the next morning, my train to Toulon departed at short after 06.00 am.
No hassles on the way to the station also that early morning time.
The fare was 85.00 Euro´s, ok so far with Nice as a relatively expensive city and Wifi was for free.
The only minor complaint was that the hotel at first accepted Amex to secure the reservation and the immediate mail from the hotel that they only work with Master and Visa, but fixed it without a real problem.

Room: We stayed in the Junior Suite with a balcony. It was very nice, except that it doesn't really face to anything worth looking at and it's north facing so you don't get a lot of sun but nevertheless it's nice to sit and get some fresh air. If you are travelling as a couple, make sure to ask for a double room if you can as we had twin beds and even when you push them together, one of you inevitably ends up on the floor. Lastly, the walls / door are very thin and therefore you can hear every door open, your neighbours, your neighbours kids, etc. Didn't bother us, but something worth noting if you are sensitive to noises. The bathroom is quite small. I'm only 5'5" and I felt like a giant in the shower.

Location: Very close to tram, train, and bus stops. Only 15 minutes from the airport. Also close to all shops, cafes, Old Town and other Nice hot spots. Very good especially if it's the first time you are in Nice.

Overall, it is a very good hotel for the discounted price we paid but would not have been so good had we paid full price.
