the hotel is located within walking distance to the train station. The room is clean and there is a safe inside the room for your things. There is free wifi in the room. There are many good restaurants nearby and also a shopping centre. There is a tram stop near the hotel for those who don't like to walk.

We really enjoyed our time at star hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly and always available. We arrived late at night and the onside staff was kind enough to help us to our room. Helpful room guide for nearby places to eat. Plenty of maps and guides for the surrounding areas. Train station is nearby which is a plus if you do not have a car. Main shopping street is also close as well. Room was small but very clean.

My family and I (2 adults and 2 children aged 8) stayed at the Hotel Star in October 2011 for 5 nights. We were very happy with the accommodations. Hotel Star is a great location for seeing all the sights in Nice and is walking distance to the train station.

Traveling to France/Italy with 4 persons can be cumbersome. Most hotels have maximum occupancy per room. Finding a Quad room can be difficulty and expensive. The Star had a very tight 4 person room...but it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also small but adequate. The hotel has free Wi-Fi. The rooms are quiet but the evening street noise can be heard if you sleep with the windows open. Get ready for the 4 am street cleaning!

The main attributes of the Hotel Star are the location and the helpful staff. The front desk staff always greeted us with a smile. They easily helped with any needs (such as locations of supermarkets and laundry facilities) We did not have the breakfast... since outside you can find much better deals and flavors at local cafes. There was a supermarket just down the block. It had a great deli for a less expressive dinner or meal.


Overall, we would strongly recommend it to travelers looking for a clean, no frills hotel, to explore Nice.
