After a bad start when we were allocated a dull, dark uninspiring room (no 115 - with a leak) we were then changed to room 308 - spacious, light, overlooking the front gardens, with safe, fridge, walk-in shower, a large modern T.V, and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.
The air conditioning ran quietly and smoothly, although it tends to blow onto the bed-head. We turned the air conditioning off during the night and opened our bedroom windows having first pulled down the amazing automatic blinds.
The sheets and large fluffy towels were changed daily, and the room was kept spotlessly clean. As observed by previous guests, the bedroom is in need of re-decoration, and carpets throughout the hotel are looking somewhat 'jaded'. Nevertheless this does not detract from the overall character of the hotel - very French, with excellent service, and very charming, helpful staff.
Buffet breakfast was excellent. Cereals, eggs, cheeses, hams, jams, fresh fruit, coffee etc and at 13 euros was good value when compared with nearby cafe breakfasts consisting of one roll.a croissent, jam, coffee, and orange juice at an average price of 8 euros.
Nice is a fantastic, vibrant city, and Hotel Brice is positioned perfectly for easy access to everywhere. Like all City hotels Hotel Brice experiences some noise on a night. I am the world's worst sleeper, but I enjoyed 9 nights of perfect sleep at Hotel Brice.
Brilliant weather, wonderful Nice, and I thought Hotel Brice an excellent 3 star hotel.
