jan 20 2012 -we paid 65 euros each using trivago for a 4 x double rooms with breakfast. it is 10-15 minute drive from the airport. the staff were very pleasant and helpful, the room was cleaned every day and breakfast was typically full continental but they also had scrambled egg and small german sausage with tea , coffee and orange juice. you can eat as much as you like to get you going. parking is dreadful on the roadside. the hotel costs 25 euros per 24 hours and they park and collect the car for you without charge but if you are going out for a full day use the public car park two minute walk away as our friends paid between 7 and 19 euros for overnight parking. centrally located to the main square with shops,bars and restaurants all around. these are mainly french/italian with 2 chinese and 1 indian nearby. large glass of wine approx 4 euros , 1/2 litre beer 7 to 8 euros. some bars have happy hour till 9.0pm where local beer is 4 euros for 1/2 litre. 25 minute drive to monte carlo on the coast road which is breathtaking overlooking the small villages/harbours. for 65 euros youll find this hard to beat even at this time of the year. overall very very pleased

We stayed for 4 nights on a package deal where breakfast was included. We found the rooms to be a good size (3 of us in a privelige), clean and well-stocked with coffee, soaps etc, etc. Breakfast was generous and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Central location made it ideal for roaming around.

The Hotel Massena offers a great value to the winter traveler. We stayed at the Massena a few years ago on our first trip to Nice but abandoned it on later trips in favor of glitzier hotels nearer the sea. We opted to return to the Massena this Christmas based on its proximity to the Christmas market in Place Massena. We reserved a privilege room and were very comfortable. At the rate of 129 Euro, which included a fantastic breakfast buffet, we found it to be well worth the money. We would definitely stay there again, particularly in the off season.

I used to recommend this boutique hotel for years. But a group of us stayed here i nDecember this year and had a really bad time with the staff, the WiFi is a mess to use and overall just not a good place to stay anymore. Avoid....
