We went to this small restaurant while visiting our daughter and son-in-law who had discovered it several weeks earlier. Nadim & Regine welcomed us as if we were family. Every dish was hand-made by Regine: Cannellonois aux Cepes, Lapin sur pate, Feuillete Cretois and, especially the Tartare Meditarranean were all delicious. Perhaps we benefitted from visiting off-season but we will definitely return. We also bought some terrific olive oil (Frantoio 2011) which we will replace by ordering from their website. Please enjoy this fine, family -owed restaurant when you visit.

After one year, I came back to Nice for a sport weekend (Prom Classic 2012) and came back to this little gem in Old Nice.
Food was excellent, as always, and every time new flavours and dishes
This time I ate a lasagna with (I think) pumpkin, tomatoes, eggplant, dry raisin and ginger...GREAT! Never eat something like this...believe me I'm from Italy!

We received a nice welcome from the owner and after seating we were promised a taste of six of his olive oils and received one. After a good start things then went downhill. We felt totally forgotten and again was promised a taste of some oils which never arrived. After a long wait hoping we were going to be asked if we wanted a dessert. We gave up, asked for the bill and left. Very disappointing after high expectations. Will probably try again as the food was different and tasty.

We visited Oliviera from a recommendation in our guide book, and it was worth every cent. We were greeted by our very friendly host, who was more than happy to detail us with information about each dish, and each type of oil provided for different dishes - this is the amazing thing about the restaurant, how every item has it's own particular olive oil to accompany. It's like wine matching with a twist. An eye opener for sure.
