Greta location, quiet, clean, close to beach & fun, value for money - cheap for Juan Les Pins:) Would definately stay here again!:)
We have just returned from our 4 day stay in Juan Les Pins and wanted to thank the owners for a lovely stay at their hotel. We were a little concerned booking what was a relatively cheap hotel, but were pleased to find how clean and welcoming it was. Situated in the heart of the village , the restaurants and cafes were all close and available. The beaches were only 100 to 200 yards away, but we found a lovely small quiet public beach right by the marina only 400 yards or so from the hotel.
A lovely park at the bottom of the road with the locals playing boules.
Previous comments about noise surprised us as altho the hotel was on the pedestrianised cafe area, the double glazing kept noise to a minimum. The landlords were very warm and helpful and the location was convenient for public transport (bus and train).Would recomend for those not wanting to pay daft prices for a room you'll not spend that much time in.
We stayed there for two nights in June 2009. We found it very nice and real value for money.
We stayed in a superior room which had been renovated lately (?), it was very spacious and clean and the air conditioning functioned well. The only negative thing was the lack of a fridge (mini bar).
They also serve breakfast for 8 eur/person which was very basic but quite ok. The lady at the reception was very helpful, too. There is a nice back yard, too, where you can sit down and relax before heading out to dinner (on request of the hotel staff). The location was fantastic, too, right in the heart of the city. Still, the noise didn't disturb us at all.
About parking, they offer you parking for 16 eur/day at a garage which is located some 300 meters from Hotel Mexicana. Who says you have to carry all your bags from the garage, just drop off all your stuff at the hotel first and take your car to the garage then.
The best thing was we got this all for 94 eur/night/room, incl. breakfast, excl. parking. We recommend this hotel to everyone.
There is only one good thing about this hotel and that is its location... if you want to be in the middle of the action. Other than that, the hotel is not to be recommended. After 5 pm you can not reach the hotel by car and therefore you will have to "schlepp" your luggage for quite a distance past all the people sitting in the restaurants along this street.
The room was very small. Old and broken (as well as mismatched) furniture. The beds have seen many guests before... and the room was very dirty too, so we were happy to stay for only one night. Definitely not worth the money...
This was the worst hotel experience ever! The room was depressing with old mismatching furniture, no Internet, no curtains on huge bathroom windows, dirty closet, occasionally no hot water and worst of all - terrible smell! Avoid this place!
