It's hard to know what to write first, because staying here was such a joy. Hotel des Mimosas is an old-style Riviera Hotel set in gorgeous, lush gardens with a beautiful swimming pool, and just a short walk from the beach. While the rooms are not the most modern I've ever stayed in, they are delightfully quirky and spotlessly clean. My room was reasonably large, with soaring ceilings. Even though my room was at the back of the building (and not one of those lovely ones with the terrace at the front), it was bright and cheerful, and filled with a beautiful rosy light in both morning and evening.

Breakfast-, served poolside was lovely, and served by charming and friendly staff. In fact, everyone at Hotel des Mimosas was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful.

Overall, the hotel is definitely on the quiet side (not a place to go for a wild party), but I think that's the way the patrons like it - I understand many are repeat guests. Hotel des Mimosas was the perfect place to relax, recharge, and soak up the beautiful Juan les Pins sun.

I was solo on this visit, but I think this would also be a very romantic spot to stay! I will definitely be back.

This hotel is quite an oasis in Juan-Les-Pins. It is a 5min walk up the street from the beach, and feels isolated (in a good way). The birds, the foliage, the pool just give it such a unique feel. The grounds are so beautiful. It is fun to wake up to variety of mediterranean birds chirping in the morning.

The staff was very charming with good advice.

We booked the double room with a large bed. It wasn't quite large for my wife and I. The rooms in this hotel don't get the wireless internet, so you have to bring your computer down to the lobby with you. The room was on the small side, but certainly functional.

Given the room size, it enticed everybody to hang out in the lobby and by the pool. We met some british couples one evening and chatted with them (they have been there several times).

After reading about this hotel in my Eyewitness guide and on Trip Advisor I wrote to book two rooms for my family for a birthday trip. Hotel de Mimosas offered a bungalow on their grounds with a private garden. Sounded great, especially at 150 E per night. After making a deposit with a credit card I hadn't used in a year, however, my number was stolen within a matter of days. Then when we arrived we discovered that the bungalow has none of the charm of the main hotel which is an old white building with dark shutters set in a pretty garden. I cannot vouch for the rooms inside the hotel, but this bungalow was shocking. It smelled strongly of mold, had filthy carpet not only in the bedrooms but in the bathroom area and dirty, musty fabric walls. The bathroom areas were cramped, lined with gross dark wainscoting and for privacy the WC had no more than a shower curtain for a door. Every morning the sinks had black bugs in them. I asked to be moved into the hotel, but it was apparently full. When I double-checked my booking, I saw that they had charged a 3-night deposit on a 4-night reservation so we stuck it out, but it was truly awful. We sprayed the bungalow with perfume and lavender essential oil, but there was no covering the smell and we slept very badly. All in a all, a terrible stay, especially considering that my credit information had not been secure.

We spent 2 lovely nights at the Hotel Des Mimosas during a 10 day trip through France with friends. We had just taken the train from Italy to Nice and had a terrible time getting rental cars (the rental office was closed for lunch when we arrived) and negotiating traffic out of Nice to Juan Les Pins. What a delight to drive through the gates and see this charming hotel with the inviting garden and pool. We immediatley checked into our rooms, changed and convened by the pool with a bottle of bubbly ordered from the bar.

The hotel is very conveniently located to the train station for Juan Les Pins and is an easy walk to the beach. We so enjoyed the staff, the comfortable rooms and the pool. What will always stick with me though is the lush feel of the gardens and the wonderful aromas of the flowers and blossoming trees. Some of the room fixtures were a little rustic , the bathroom was quite tiny and the hot water took a while to reach the room. But those are the only things that kept me from making this a 'excellent' instead of 'very good'. I would gladly stay here again.
