“Not Great”

We went in June last year and stayed in a mobile. The mobile was all right a little bit small and dated not like the ones on the broacher .The site looked a little tired and shabby and could do with a lick of paint....It was very noisy at nigh-time as it is right beside the motor way the pools were always packed and crowded .The supermarkets are quite expensive and the restaurants are too....I really think this a holiday for a family with young children NOT for a family with older children who just want to relax.

We have travelled to Le Baume since the children were 3 and 7 they are 20 and 25....now.

The site does look a little tired but if you knew how much they clearly have invested back into the site you probably would not grumble. The staff are very rude,I have never known any diffrence,it is a shame as so many people comment but nobody does address it,my theory is you only have to check in,on the last day chuck your swipe in the box and bon voyage.

They have made big improvements to the pool areas the resteraunts, the whole site over the years.

Lifestyle is who we choose this year, its cheaper but no childrens club,so please do not groan and moan,if you want a childrens club then use Keycamp,Siblu,Eurosites, you need to pay more,if you do you will find UK speaking reps who have an amazing time with the children.

I have used,Siblu,Keycamp.Eurosites,Haven,Eurocamp for clubs and they were all fab....the children loved them but put your hand in your pocket if you want the clubs.

The supermarket is expensive but there is a Geant,Carfouur, and a cheap Leader close by .

Most people go on holiday and are prepared for days out, vist the Gorge, amazing,A day trip to Italy, the markets in Frejus nightly ,in peak season.Jet ski,paragliding....St Tropez,St Maxium need I go on,there is alot to do its not a cheap budget holiday,It is the cote d azur.

The children loved the disco from a young age ,peak season there is plenty to do.As the children get older they can go out in the evenings ,take the car or bus or what ever.

We travel to other destinations throughout the year but Le Baume is somewhere where freinds can pop and see you for a few days,we have had 13-14 people at any one time in our vans, great fun.We do keep coming back for a few weeks in the summer.

Lifestyle reps Nigel and Hayley were lovely, would l use them again it is all about price ..... although the vans were clean well postioned and large enough, with bedrooms really seperate plus decking and AC at no extra cost.

So in summary, you pay for what you get,if you want to arrive at Le baume on a cheap easy jet flight with no car hire, not really enough money for the overpriced shop on you sun deals it not for you.If your prepared to pay for Keycamp etc and have clubs included then you ill probably be a happier family if you do have young children,it is all about choices.

“Great time, perfect Family camping holiday.”

Two weeks in July with my family we had a great time. Having read some of the other reviews I can clear a few things up, on site restaurants are normally average and this one is no Differant, serving pizza and chips etc but we were never charged 30euro for a pizza, and the food is about what you'd expect for what you pay. There's no rabid feral dogs running about the place and it doesn't look like Iraq or Afghanistan those people clearly have an axe to grind.
Our accommodation was spot on and the staff were quite good and pleasant. I would advise a car for travelling to
Town and supermarkets as the on site shop is handy for the odd thing but not for two weeks food and drink for a family, though there is a bus stop outside the camp and will drop you off outside the camp again. The pools are lively and have a really good holiday atmosphere. Bike hire is reasonable but if you've got your own bring them. We travelled into Saint Raphael on 14th July Bastille Day is well worth a visit it was rammed with people but the firework display was breath taking and a fantastic memory for the whole family. I would recomend this site and location.

“Good location but facilities especially pools, looking tired and dated.”

We went on a really cheap Sun Holiday to this site and as expected our mobile home was not the newest and the best. However, it was clean and was good value for money. The site is very convenient and a good base for siteseeing to places such as Monte Carlo, St Tropez, Nice etc. We went in mid September therefore the site was fairly quiet. The site has numerous pools but they all need some serious maintenance or preferably updating. It looks as though they were built some years ago and they were probably really good at the time but now need serious money spent to bring them up to the standard expected today. We drove down to the South of France but would not want to do it again without an overnight stop each way. We used the autoroutes but you still need to allow a good 12 hours each way and have minimum breaks. Even with 2 of us taking turns in driving it is very tiring and not recommended. Beware when filling up with fuel in and around Frejus as price per litre can vary much more than it does at home. We found the cheapest place was Carrefour. We didn't really use the campsite shop so can't comment on prices etc.
