This hotel is now called the Resid'hotel Tour de la Mare. We booked the trip via the Resid'hotel website, and were very disappointed with our stay.

I have never stayed at a hotel, anywhere, where I am expected to make my own bed on arrival, and clean the apartment in its entirety on departure. On check-in you are presented with linen and surrender a deposit of 300 Euro which you are told will be forfeited should you not conform to their terms and conditions. Of course, if you refuse then you cannot stay and would forfeit your booking fee.

Nowhere (that I can see) in the terms and conditions online, or in the booking details, does it state that this is the case and it cast an immediate pall over the stay. The terms and condition do say that a flat fee deposit is payable, but nothing about cleaning, bed-making etc.. Imagine the last thing you have to do at the end of your vacation is to clean your apartment from top to bottom. Not good.

We are an active family, and like to make the most of our vacation. Imagine how surprised we were to be told by the hotel manager that we must not leave our apartment before 10am as we would disturb other guests who were trying to lie-in?

In terms of the facilities, the tennis court has now been built over, and the swimming pool has been halved in size, with no toddler-friendly area.

The hotel is more like an over-priced hostel - amazingly the hotel website awards itself four smiley-faces (whatever that means) and Expedia gives it four stars.

Not a good experience.
