So you arrive at a little reception area down below and push the button for a valet to come take you car and put your luggage in your room for you. Then you walk up some stairs through the winding streets of the town and there is another small reception area almost like a cave. They then take you to the outdoor bar area with a fantastic view to have welcome champagne and gourmet snacks. The lady in reception was the friendliest hotel employee I've encountered in a long time and really made us feel welcome, appreciated and EXCITED about our stay. The rooms of the hotel feel like they are dispersed throughout the town with doors opening to the street - almost like little apartments. There is not a main gate (like Chevre D'Or) with a main hotel area concentrated together. Which was fine although I think Chevre D'Or (we were originally trying to decide between the 2) has more amenities like a pool and fitness center. Since there was more than 1 room available they let us choose. We ended up upgrading to the "Royal Suite" and negotiated the price. The orignal room we would have had was cool & unique too though with a staircase to the upstairs of it. But the Royal Suite was gorgeous and hard to say no to. The view from the balcony was no joke the best view I have ever had from a hotel room and I have traveled a lot! The water below looks so blue and being so high up it looks magical. Plus we could easily see Corsica from our balcony which was very cool!!! The furniture was pretty, the suite seemed regal like its name implies, the private bath tub area was luxurious. The separate bathroom and shower were huge, especially the shower which had a LARGE window that opened up to take in the breeze and view of the ocean while showering - so even a shower seemed magical. The restaurant is so neat - you really feel like you are in a Medeival castle. The hotel didn't even know it was my husband and my anniversary but since we were guests of the hotel (I think a lot of locals and travelers go just for the Michelin star restaurant) they put us on the balcony which just has one table for 2 with an insane view. I think the champagne may have been complimentary at the beginning of dinner too I forget and regardless it is always served in very special glasses. The food was fancy and tasty and comes in small plates with many courses. My husband was still a little hungry after, but I was fine. When we returned to our room after dinner there was coffee, tea and cookies/macaroons waiting for us - nice touch. My travel agent said this was the most romantic place ever and he wasn't kidding. I wish I could have stayed longer especially to check out all the little nooks and crannies of Eze. Everything feels so mysterious with surprises around every corner.
Room Tip: Loved the Royal Suite - it was beyond
