The location is about a 10 min walk into town, but how can you complain when the walk along the beach is paradise! We stayed in beach view room, it was really spacious and modern, nice balcony and good view, most of the staff are really friendly, BUT no mini bar, no tea and coffee, 22 euros a day for internet and rubbish breakfast for 19 euros!! I think if they imrove on these things then it will be a pretty good hotel. Oh and no Irons they charge 5 euros per item!!!

This hotel is ideal if you are looking to laze by the beach as it just across the road. It is a lovely hotel with a nice pool and very relaxing lounge area. Rooms are a good size with a nice balcony. Overall a very imprssive stay.

The Avangani is a perfectly good, if fairly basic hotel.
It's on a busy road some distance outside the main town: it took me about 30 minutes to walk to the harbour area in central Cannes, and it's not a particularly scenic walk as you are on a major road (the Avenue Docteur Picaud) for much of the journey.
I was a little disappointed to discover that not only is there no iron and ironing board in the room, but the hotel does not even have these for you to borrow.
The breakfast buffet was good and I liked the design of the rooms and public areas.
The hotel can be a little noisy because there is a train line at the far end of the rear garden and pool area at the back of the hotel. Even with double glazing, some train noise was audible in my sixth (top) floor room.

just came back from this hotel,
first: they dont respect what the info u r leavin on the door... if i put 'DO NOT DISTURB' i dont want anyone to come in ...each time they did this!
second: paying 19 euro per person for such a breakfast is disaster... frozen croissant for which we had to wait 15 min to made them hot! and what a brakfast...if u hav chance DONT EAT IN THIS HOTEL!
third: what is this info?... YOU CAN NOT EAT AND DRINK THINGS FROM OUTSIDE THE HOTEL? even in ur room ... this make me laugh! but this is kind of crazy...
and it is faaar from center!
hotel rooms small...no fridge? come on... 30 C and u can not even hav bottle
of water in the fridge!

for me this hotel is max 3 star and i would not recommend it!

Stayed here during the annual Mipim conference. OK distance from the Palais with bus connections close by. Rather bizzare and random oriental theme but no harm done! Rooms OK but busy road to the north and busy trian tracks to the south. Staff made a postive contribution to the stay. Watch out for the bedroom doors that don't close by themselves!
