We booked this aparthotel for a 5 night stay in Cannes. The hotel was situated about 10 minutes walk from the public beach which is free.
The town is between 5 and 20 minutes walk depending on how far along the Croisette that you go.
The apartment we had was a one-bedroomed, 4 person apartment. There was a twin bedroom, bathroom with shower over and separate toilet. There were 4 of us so we slept on the sofa bed in the lounge/diner. This was quite comfortable and was ready made with sheets when we arrived. In fact all the beds were made up.
Rooms have air conditioning which was very useful.
The kitchen area was equipped with a 2 ring electric hob, electric grill (looks like a microwave) and a half size dishwasher. There were mugs, plates, bowls, knifes, forks, a couple of saucepans, vacuum cleaner and dustpan and brush. They also left you 2 clean teatowels and enough bath and hand towels for our stay, however the bedding or towels were not changed during the 5 days we were there. Irons and hairdryers are available from reception, although someone perhaps had borrowed them before us and left them in the room, so check before you borrow them. Yes, there are ironing boards too and washing machines/tumble dryers on the ground floor. There is a television in the room but, as usual it only has BBC World news and some French channels so it might be difficult to please the kids.
If you go there for more than a couple of days, take some dishwasher tablets with you as it's quite difficult to get a small quantity. We didn't need salt or rinse aid while we were there.
Our stay was from 15th August which apparently is Napoleons birthday, so there were free fireworks on the beach. They are also happening on 24th. However although advertised as starting between 10 and 10.30pm, they eventually started at about 11pm. It was difficult to find out why they were late. But if you can stay to watch them they are pretty spectacular.
There is parking available under the hotel for 10 euros per night, but be warned the car park is down a very steep slippery ramp and is quite tight to negotiate. However it is cheaper than the nearest public car park. Just don't use it if you have a big car.
Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and would definitely use Citadine aparthotels again, particularly as they have hotels all over Paris. Make sure you pick up the free guide inside the room.
